Limited places left for our Summer Workshop
Summer Workshop: next week!
Our 2022-23 activities kick off with a bang next week (22-26 August) with our five-day Summer Workshop for 10-18-year-olds. Our budding performers will be put through their paces through the West End hit, Matilda the Musical.
Over the course of five days, the participants will learn material from the show, taught by our expert creative team – Abbie, Gabriel and Heidi. Matilda the Musical has some fantastic music and some great opportunities to develop character work.
And in case that’s not enough, we have masterclasses lined up in Clowning and Magic! This Summer Workshop is some real serious business!
But the best part is: we still have a few spots remaining! So, if you have maxed out on beach time, if hanging in the park no longer charms, then come along and learn some new skills, meet some new friends and have a revolting time with us instead.
You can find all the details here, or get in touch with us directly: info@thebridge.brussels.
Follow our journey via our podcast
Did you know you can listen to (almost) monthly updates about our progress?
Our podcast – How to build a theatre – charts our journey of creation by taking a wider look at the theatre industry and the people that are behind it. Each month, we invite a relevant guest to speak about their impact on the theatre world. And we are not just talking about what goes on on-stage, we are talking about the broader theatre landscape in order to give you a holistic overview of what it means to “build a theatre”.
Previous guests include a chartered engineer, a fundraiser and an experiential learning expert, as well as artists, such as theatre programmers, drama facilitators and directors.

Coming up…
It’s a well-worn phrase that we have used many times, but: the biggest constraint to us doing activities is the lack of suitable venues to do them.
We spend significant time and energy looking for venues for both productions and workshops, for short-term use and for longer-term use.
And that is where our focus will continue for the time being.
But stay tuned: we promise we will have more to share with you soon!
