Escape the bad weather this weekend at Lungs!
It’s opening week for our brand new production of Duncan Macmillan’s award-winning play. This original by The Bridge Theatre is a comic, poignant and highly naturalistic two-hander that is guaranteed to have you laugh and cry, sometimes in the very same sentence. Our two British, West End actors bring this text to life in a way that is uncomfortably real and fly-on-the-wall intimate.
Starting from this Wednesday, you’ll have only 17 chances to catch this enthralling production in a unique setting; a real treat for all theatre lovers and a welcome change from Netflix. Our tickets are selling fast, so don’t leave it to the last minute!
Missed our sneak peak of the play? Start following us on Instagram now and check out what you’ve missed.
For those of you in Brussels this long weekend, do come to our Premiere on Thursday 18 May and get the chance to mix with the press and some special guests.
Can’t wait until then?
Our preview performance on Wednesday 17 May will give you the chance to be the first to see this beautiful play (before anyone else!) AND allow you to hear from the director of the play, the award-winning Kate McGregor, on what it takes to create a gripping and fast-paced piece of theatre in a non-traditional theatre venue.

Get Your Head in the Game This August
Don’t forget to book your place for this year’s Bridge Theatre Summer School, taking place at Grand Hospice in central Brussels on Monday 21 – Friday 25 August. Our Summer School is design for all aged 10-18.
Over the course of five days, participants will put together a show based on the modern Disney classic, High School Musical. For most of the week, we work in three different groups, divided by age, with tuition in acting, singing and dance. Then everyone comes together at the end of the week to perform a showcase for parents and friends.
And in case that is not exciting enough, we are also including two special masterclasses into the week. We can’t yet reveal what these will be this year, but we will release details very soon.
So, want a fun-packed week in what many describe as “the best stage in town”? Join us and the many repeat attendees for this intensely rewarding week of performing arts! We can’t wait!
Partnering for Culture
We are excited to announce a new partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce.
By forging a partnership with the Chamber, The Bridge Theatre aims to create meaningful connections not only with individual audience members but also within the private sector. This collaboration highlights both organisations’ shared commitment to fostering strong links and building bridges at the community level.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with The Bridge Theatre. Their commitment to producing socially-relevant theatrical productions and their dedication to connecting people through culture resonates strongly with the Chamber’s core values. We are excited to explore how we can work together in alignment with our members' ESG and employee engagement objectives."
– Peter Bell, BritCham’s Executive Committee Chair.
To celebrate this new partnership, the British Chamber members will have an exclusive opportunity to have a post-performance backstage tour at a show of Lungs to meet with the actors of the play and directors of The Bridge Theatre. Lucky them!
