Summer Workshop Registration: Now Open!
Our incredibly fun, five-day Summer Workshop is now open for registrations. Just like last year, this Workshop is aimed at 10-18-year-olds with an interest in performing arts. No experience necessary!
And, we can reveal that this year’s theme is Matilda the Musical!
The musical, developed by the Royal Shakespeare Company with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, is based on the children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. This is your chance to find your cheeky side through our acting, singing and dancing rehearsals plus masterclasses in magic and clown work! This is the summer workshop that certainly does not take itself too serious.
The week-long Workshop, which takes place 22-26 August, culminates in a mini-performance for friends and family. The perfect way to wrap up and intense week.
So, what are you waiting for? Fill in an application form to reserve your spot today!

The Good News
We have found a suitable location in which to begin our activities in central Brussels!
This means from September 2022, we will be able to bring you a full season of exciting theatrical performances, as well as a dedicated Workshops programme. We will soon be revealing more details about how The Bridge Theatre will grow from September 2022 and we cannot wait to share with you more details.
The Less Good News
In order for this project to move forward, we need a considerable amount of capital to (1) pay our venue rental deposit; (2) make some alterations to our new venue to make sure it is fit for purpose. Together, this initial expenditure totals well over €100,000.
We are in talks with the government funding bodies, as well as credit institutions to help us reach our funding target. However, as it currently stands, we do not have sufficient funds to enable us to achieve this transformative step.
This is where YOU come in.
Back in April, we told you a little bit about the Proxi Loan system that Brussels has introduced to help small businesses with their cash flow. And we were thrilled that some of you offered to help us in this way. Thank you!
We are now looking for more people to jump on board and lend us some money! The Proxi Loan offers a government-backed solution to lending us money over a period of 5-8 years, but we are also happy to enter bespoke arrangements with individuals or companies who are looking to lend money for a shorter period of time. So, if you have spare cash that you would like to make useful, then please get in contact with us → finances@thebridge.brussels. Even if it is a small amount, your loan will enable us to invest in this critical stage of setting up a new theatre.
And, if you want to get even more deeply involved, check out our Individual Patrons scheme or tell your employer that they have the opportunity to now have a transformational effect on our small organisation through a Corporate Partnership.
We look forward to hearing from you.
