Play Revealed for coming Saturday Night at the Studio
This Saturday Night in the Studio: A brand new powerful and thought-provoking play
This coming Saturday 29 March at 8pm, four Brussels-based actors will present to you a rehearsed reading of a brand new play!
Every few weeks, The Bridge Theatre gets sent new plays for our consideration and since January we have been gathering actors together on Thursday mornings to read through them. Out of these plays, the actors have now selected their favourite to present to a wider public.
So, this Saturday, Jonathon Sawdon, Henry Regan, Rozana Radu, and Michelle Scott will bring the characters of this new play to life for the very first time, especially for you in a semi-staged performance.
After the performance, you will have your chance to give your input on the play, which we will then feed back to the playwright.
And what is the play? A powerful and thought-provoking play by Nalini Vidoolah Mootoosamy called Lost and Found, originally written in Italian and translated into English by Margherita Laera.
Somewhere in Europe, a man sits in silence. His name, his language, his past—all erased in a desperate bid for survival. Meanwhile, across the world, a lost suitcase sends two travellers into a spiral of frustration and absurdity.
Lost & Found is an unflinching exploration of borders—both visible and invisible. It weaves together the experiences of an asylum seeker trapped in an immigration detention centre and a tourist grappling with the chaos of a misplaced suitcase. As their parallel stories unfold, the play exposes the stark contrast between those who move freely and those who fight to exist.
With striking poetic language, gripping tension, and moments of unexpected humour, Lost & Found asks: What does it mean to belong? What happens when identity is stripped away? And in a world of shifting borders and fragile certainties, who gets to be found?

“Transformational” Training
The Bridge Theatre was delighted to provide public speaking coaching for future directors of Europe’s opera houses as part of Opera Europa’s special training programme in the middle of March. We worked with 36 lower and middle managers from across Europe to improve their confidence and impact when speaking in front of audiences. According to one participant from Poland, the coaching was “transformational”.
