Saturday Night at the Studio is back, and this time, nothing is rehearsed.
Performers often spend weeks, even months, in preparations for a show. From character work to memorising lines, it takes time to settle into a role. Now what would happen if we ask our actors to jump on stage without having any clue of what play they are going to perform? That’s exactly what we are going to find out!
On Saturday 25 April we are back for another Saturday Night at the Studio with Secret Scenes.
In this event seven brave actors will take the stage completely unprepared to perform a full play, from start to finish, right then and there for the very first time! No, this is no improv show. Our actors will have scripts they have to follow, marks on stage they’ve got to nail, and props they need to find and use correctly. Sounds rough? Perhaps. But it sure will be funny.
The only thing we can say about the play is that it is a classic farce filled with misunderstandings, romance, and comic twists and turns. The play will be announced to both the actors and audience at the same time! Our incredible (and courageous) performers will be assigned characters on the spot, with just a short character description and the script to guide their way.
