Our Weekend Workshops begin 16 January
Our Weekend Workshops are ten sessions of acting, singing and dance tuition, designed to cater for all abilities. Our creative team – Abbie, Andrew and Heidi – will work with our two small groups (one for those ages 13-18; one for those aged 18+) for three hours on a Sunday morning as you explore your creative side through the performing arts.
On the back of our incredible Autumn Workshop, which saw 35 talented Brusselers get on stage at the Theatre du Vaudeville, we have decided to launch our Weekend Workshops to both under-18s and adults. We recognise that grown ups also want to have fun, make new friends and build their confidence and our adult-only classes will allow you to do just that!
Our Weekend Workshops are for everyone, regardless of experience. They are just for fun and without the pressure of a big final performance. So join us from Sunday 16 January for unparalleled performing arts tuition (as long as Belgium can keep Covid at bay..)!
Sundays, 11am - 2pm
16 January - 27 March (no workshop on 27 February)
Studio Empain, Rue de la Presse 9, Brussels
Two groups: 13-18 or 18+. Groups size is limited!
One hour of acting, singing and dancing every week!
Our Weekend Workshops are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Sign up now to avoid disappointment.
Brussels’ Got Talent
On Sunday 14 November, our community cast performed All Together Now! at the Vaudeville Theatre in central Brussels. After nine weekends of rehearsals, the cast only stepped into the theatre for the first time at 9am that Sunday morning and had a few short hours to rehearse on stage before the first show at 5pm.
Those of us lucky enough to be in the audience were blown away by the talent on stage. This was a celebration of local theatre of which Brussels should be proud. While All Together Now! was a one-off event, The Bridge Theatre hopes to be able to bring you more fantastic performing opportunities in the near future.
And our next show is…
Vincent River, our debut play, was an extraordinary piece of theatre. Many people have inevitably asked us what comes next.
The long-term goal of The Bridge Theatre is to establish a permanent home of professional English-language theatre in Brussels. We are thus devoting much energy in the coming period to making progress towards this goal.
At the same time, we are exploring options with different partner venues who could potentially host us on a temporary basis so that we can bring you more theatre. If you know of an empty venue which you think could be suitable for our next production, please do get in touch!
